SUMMARY:
Brundage Park Playhouse presents a new adaptation of the classic
Greek tragedy. Medea tells the story of the jealousy and revenge of a
woman betrayed by her husband. She has left home and father for her
husband, Jason's, sake, and he, after she has borne him children,
forsakes her, and betroths himself to Glauce, the daughter of Creon,
ruler of Corinth. Creon orders her into banishment. Subject to exile
and scorned by her husband, Medea plots the gory death of his
newfound bride. Is this the end of her bloody revenge? No. She enacts
the ultimate act of vengeance, an act, that only a mother can
commit.
