Life has been uneventful for little Princess Irene. Infrequent visits from her father, the king, who spends most of his time defending his frontiers, are her only true excitement. Her life is spent under the care of her worried nanny, Lootie. Then, one night, three grotesque creatures break into her room - the vicious Goblin Queen who breaks enemies' bones with her granite shoes, the meek Goblin King who hides behind his wife when things are unpleasant, and their ugly, silly, young son, Harley. The Goblins live in the caves and mines of the Great Mountain, banished there by the "sun people" generations ago. To get their revenge on their enemies, the Goblins have vowed to kidnap Princess Irene and Harley plans to marry her. If this plan doesn't work, the Goblins have another plan prepared to impart their revenge. Among those who try to help Irene are Curdie, the young son of a miner, and Irene's great-great grandmother. The cast includes Olivia Waring as Irene, Michelle Wilson as Lootie, Patrick Magill as Goblin King, Kirsten Lamb as Goblin Queen, Steve Miller as Harley, Andrew Kay as Curdie, Beth Ann Caputo as Grandmother, Michael Bonner as King, Julie Sasso and Justin Schneyer as the Guards, Lauren cdattano, Megan Quann, Chelsea Riccardi, Rebecca Schubiger and Jessica Sprung as Goblins, and Lauren Cattano, Rebecca Schubiger, and Jessica Sprung as Ladies-in-Waiting. Dustin Picillo is the understudy for the role of the King. |
